Dr. Johanna Kelly was born in New York City, but was raised in Roswell, New Mexico. She is a high honors graduate from the University of Notre Dame. Following graduation, she worked for a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in inner city Washington, D.C. as a Spanish-speaking medical assistant. She then attended medical school at the University of New Mexico where she received the Faculty Award for Excellence and the Outstanding Medical Scholar Award.
Dr. Kelly then completed her pediatric residency training also at the University of New Mexico. She remained at the university as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics before moving to Pennsylvania. She is board certified in pediatrics, a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Her and her husband, Dan, have two children. Her hobbies include playing guitar, biking, hiking, water sports, and reading.
