Are You Expecting?

Choosing a pediatric office.

Choosing your child's healthcare provider is an important decision!  Before doing so, you should make sure that your expectations and personal philosophies match well with Reading Pediatrics and our providers.

At Reading Pediatrics, our family of providers and staff work hard to give our families quality medical care for their children. We provide friendly service at all of our four convenient locations, as well as extended weekday and weekend hours.

First Appointment

A few weeks before delivery, you may call the office to let us know you are expecting. You can also download and begin to fill out our new patient paperwork at that time. When the happy day has arrived, you can tell the hospital staff that you would like Reading Pediatrics to be your baby's pediatrician. We like to see your baby and you about 1-2 days after you are discharged from the hospital.

What to Bring

  • Any paperwork from the hospital, including hearing screen results and immunization records.
  • Any available insurance information (often only the parent's insurance is available at the first visit).
  • Plenty of diapers and an extra set of clothes.
  • Please complete the New Patient Forms prior to the visit to help make the appointment as smooth as possible.
  • Please give yourselves an extra 20-30 minutes to get ready to leave!  There are lots of extra things to pack and carry everywhere you go.
